We worked with TownsWeb on a relatively urgent piece of digitisation on a degrading collection of nitrates. The process not only saved a valued collection for future generations, but they were able to adapt and work within the changing needs as the situation developed. Proving reliability, and flexibility and ultimately creating a quality archive within the shifting time pressures. We are tremendously grateful for finding such a reliable partner for the project. The collection saw 60,000x negatives being captured to a master TIFF and surrogate JPEG file format whilst each item was carefully removed and replaced from its individual envelope.
