It has been a pleasure to work with TownsWebArchiving on our Lottery Heritage-funded project to digitize and make available thousands of photos depicting Chesterfield’s legendary Aquarius. The venue first opened in 1972 and closed in the mid-1990s and this is the first time many of these photos will ever have been seen. It is a fascinating piece of the town’s social history that’s being brought back to life.
